"Arlen, You Let Me Down," reads the latest imbecilic "article" from Meghan McCain, the aspiring Republican Hilton sister. No, Meghan, he didn't let you down.
You see, Meghan, people who pretend to be moderates are really socialists trying to avoid the stigma. They, your father included, don't make decisions based on the Constitution, freedom, and human dignity. They don't even know what those words mean. That's why they can vote away your privacy rights "for a strong national defense" and then vote to bail out banks and car manufacturers "to save the economy" without any pangs of conscience. They will never take "no" for an answer from the voters because tyranny and avarice never rest when there is a power duopoly.
So, Arlen Specter didn't "let anyone down." He merely changed brands for his own political survival. Meghan, your father once considered doing the same thing, so take a deep breath and relax. The two-party power cartel is, itself, a big tent with no guiding philosophy aside from an abiding lust for power, corruption, and money.
Fear not, Paris McCain, Arlen didn't go anywhere. He's right where he's always been, in the Republicrat Party. Arlen Specter will still keep up his totalitarian antics, spendthrift habits, and rights-removing votes. Basically, he'll just be doing Republican things under the Democratic tent.
