At the LPKY 2010 State Convention, voting members will be asked to consider changes to the Constitution and Bylaws of the State Party. While the changes are significant in how they are written, the goals are as follows:
- Codify the "State-District-County-City" party structure
- We've been operating under it anyway, to an extent
- To clarify the requirements.
- To protect against the "rogue member" effect.
- To give structure and substance to the party organization
- Fix issues where the Constitution and Bylaws are in conflict or overly restrictive
- Legacy issues with technophobia.
- Make Bylaws and Constitution consistent; possibly one document
- Help to grow the party.
As the new proposed Constitution and Bylaws are prepared, they will be posted here for review. Copies of the final product will also be provided at the convention to voting members who pre-register.
